Have students write you a letter, "Dear Teacher," and let them tell you what they learned, and give them a chance to voice appreciation for others. You'll want to give them some questions to help them focus: "What improvements did you make in your scene from the first idea to the last rehearsal? What were you thinking and feeling during the performance? What are you proud of? What do you regret? Who in our class deserves special praise, and why? "
These letters make a good source for any evaluation that you write. Students love to read good reviews from classmates.
